I can already tell that types and music preference don’t really correlate…

I’m thinking it probably has to do more so with your environment and other factors… not temperament  xD

But I kind of figured that anyways.

Thanks everyone who answered for answering, and feel free to continue to do so just because it’s nice to know what y’all like :)

I’m curious whether or not people with similar types have similar tastes in music. So can you please state your type and your favorite genre of music (even if you like “all” music, state which you listen to most) and your favorite band?

Thanks ;D!

I'm an INFP/J. An ESTJ friend recently accused me of being a hypocrite (not living up to what I say my ideals are, or being who I say I am). I'm now wondering if this is an INFx thing, or if it's just me. Also, do you have any tips for getting out of relationships with people who were once "close friends"? I have an incredibly hard time with it, often having second thoughts and then trying to get in touch with them again, despite their professed lack of interest. Thanks for this blog!

I’m going to try and explain this as best I can without rambling. xD

So, as an INFP, I also tend to contradict myself often. However, Taylor is an INFJ and she tends to have most of her morals and such completely out, and when she does change them she lets you know. She also tends to point out when I contradict myself, which is often. It really has to do with her extroverted feeling and my introverted one. So I would say you’re more of an INFP.

But, this ESTJ friend of yours is just going to end up pointing these things out. xSTx is a category that don’t make the same connections we do in our heads, and will remember what you said before. They are most likely going to say that you have contradicted yourself. But this doesn’t make you a hypocrite, you’re just open minded.

On relationships, being an INFx, you’re going to have trouble leaving any kind of relationship, no matter what. It’s just who we are. So, I suggest maybe writing out or sorting out in your head a pros or cons list of sorts to help you actually understand why you may or may not need this person in your life. It may sound silly, but it gives you a better understanding of the situation and will help you leave it, if need be, in the end.

Question Game #1

What was your most interesting encounter with someone of the same type?

I have a feeling 90% of us will be Introverts, which explains why we are on tumblr and not out socializing xD
